Google Business Profile for an equipment rental business
Customers need to know where to collect equipment and how to book. Check these details before sharing your Google profile.

Someone searching for equipment rental nearby often has a job and a date in mind. Your profile should tell them whether you can help, without several calls to establish your opening hours or delivery area.
Start with information you can keep accurate. This method is for businesses that receive customers or serve them in person. An online-only business should first check its eligibility with Google.
Match the profile to your actual pickup arrangements
Google distinguishes storefront, service-area and hybrid businesses. Hide your address if you deliver but do not receive customers. If you offer both collection and delivery, check the physical-location requirements, including signage and staff during the stated opening hours.
Write down the customer journey before filling in the profile. For example: book online, confirm the date, then collect from the counter on Friday afternoon. If visits require an appointment, explain that on your website too. A customer arriving at a locked warehouse is a preventable problem.
List the places you can reliably serve
Service areas use cities or postal codes, with up to twenty areas rather than a radius. Choose places your operation can actually cover. Declaring a service area does not guarantee a ranking for searches in that town.
Review your last five deliveries or five realistic routes if you are just starting. Include the return journey, parking and loading time. If a small order to one town uses half a day, set a minimum order or remove it from your usual offer. Put these conditions on your rental website.
Keep the name, category and hours consistent
Use the business name customers know. Google asks you to describe the activity through its category fields and to put addresses and hours in their dedicated fields. Adding a list of towns or « cheap rental » to the name is not a sound search strategy.
Compare the profile with your website, email signature and collection instructions. One outdated phone number can lose an enquiry. Assign responsibility for holiday hours and update them before closing. Run the check on a phone, as a customer would.
- Real business name and an appropriate rental category
- Working phone number and accurate collection hours
- Address or service areas matching the offer
Show the equipment and the route to booking
Google recommends useful photos and complete information. Photograph your own fleet: the whole item, included accessories and collection point. A stock image showing a different model creates an expectation you will have to correct at handover.
Add your Louez shop to the website field, then open the link on your phone. Customers should find the same business name, understand what is included and reach the booking information. This is a link you enter in Google; it does not imply an automatic Google–Louez synchronisation.
Track the enquiries the profile brings
Google describes relevance, distance and prominence as main local ranking factors. You cannot control the location of each person searching. You can record where enquiries came from and why some did not become bookings.
For a month, ask customers how they found you and keep a simple tally. After a rental, invite an honest review and respond to specific feedback. If the same questions about delivery or accessories keep coming up, improve those details before spending time on more posts.
